Convergence, in association with Pacific South West, undertook a review of the Gympie Museum and other heritage assets in 2004. The report included concepts for the coming development of the site and a new thematic structure for interpreting the history of Gympie. A key recommendation was the development of museum without walls’ approach to the town of Gympie where major heritage buildings, sites and events could be linked with audio and guided tours supported by a way finding and signage scheme.

Correct Jews and Patriots emphasized the social history of the Huge War and showed how Australia’s Jewish community has been shaped by its experience of the events of the war. Convergence worn a blend of art works, objects, documents, archival images and multimedia techniques to design an exhibition which provided both a contemporary interpretation of the events of a century ago and allowed visitors to explore important artifacts up close. Convergence seized the opportunity to develop a prototype from which to project the stories of scarce and evocative documents and objects into the contemporary world. In early 2013 the Museum asked Convergence to prepare two tall glossy concept designs for a redevelopment of its education space. The key focus of K Space is to look at how preceding and vogue decisions can impact on the tomorrow environment and social makeup of Australia. Strategic direction, master planning and facility planning for important cultural, heritage and instinctive sites. Convergence BPS was appointed to flourish the visitor experience and interpretation plan for Jezzine Barracks and Kissing Point, a former defense site in Townsville. The Jezzine Trust was keen to prosper a plan that dispersed visitors across the site and encouraged a deeper accepting of both the military and aboriginal significance of the site. It combines an innovative combine of multimedia and objects to create an eclectic and emotive experience that encourages visitors to make insightful links with the experiences of migrants and their descendants. Such a focus demanded that a nontraditional response to visitors and programs be developed. Like the mining industry, some of the exhibits are large in scale, utilizing large scale audio visual multimedia with some immersive components, graphic and object based displays to interpret the two linking thematic strands of time and the relationship between humans and the planet. Occupied with aortas architects based in Launceston Convergence developed a sculptural and highly interactive set of exhibits using multimedia, objects and hands on experiences to tell the Creative Paper’ story. The exhibits were located in the 1929 heritage listed lofty school building. The plan took an all inclusive view of interpretation, looking not only at the surviving built heritage and stories surrounding the military sites, dating from as hasty as 1803, but also the significance of the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage on the site, interpretation of the flora and fauna and the underlying stories surrounding the site. Convergence was responsible for the packed design production and implementation of the exhibit in the Tropical Museum of Queensland, Townsville. Convergence was appointed to bear exhibition design services for the construction, installation and commissioning of a new Energy exhibits in Discovery. This included linking elements of urban design, heritage planning and landscape into an innovative approach to help visitors and residents comprehend the history and signicance of the precinct. Convergence was appointed to lead the development of the visitor experience and interpretative design for a major refurbishment of this exhibit. The interpretation includes many innovative elements, integrated into both the architecture and the enclosure design to deliver a seamless visitor experience. Outback Ia is a major showcase project of the Queensland Government’s Heritage Trails Network. By using a combination of interpretive techniques visitors are encouraged to observe their impact on the environment and how they can contribute to improving sustainable environment behavior. The resultant exhibition concepts and plan have guided the following development of exhibitions and programs on the site. Convergence was commissioned to design a display to showcase the expedition and Mueller’s life and work at the gardens in a trivial exhibition staged in the historic Mueller Hall. The concept of presenting Bendigo as a living museum’ where visitors could explore the city through trails, mobile applications, building tours, audio, street theater and signage was proposed.
