Council’s requirements for landmark buildings on predetermined sites as per structure plan to be met whilst achieving a commercial planning outcome for the Client. In locating the Town Square at the core of the development, the car park entry of the shopping center is integrated with Main Street and the principle pedestrian links through the shopping center to the nearby train station. The development outcome is undoubtedly more prosperous through the Client, Council and Designer interaction, and there is excitement around the focus on achieving a immense community result. A high level of built form architecture will be achieved with designed landmark buildings acting as focal points and drawing people into the heart of the development. The design philosophy of the Officer Shopping center is focused around creating a precinct that is energetic and highly utilized by the locals and surrounding community areas. Siting of the development has proven the biggest challenge. Our collaborative approach and definite communication lines are imperative to confront the Client’s expectations. We trust involving the Client in the initial stage of the project is an integral part of our approach to achieve the best commercial outcome. To enhance these industrial elements of the building we created interiors with fresh spontaneous colors, timber, stone and concrete. The office space includes multiple meeting rooms and zones making it a collaborative yet fertile environment.
